Our Mission
Organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes, Sunflower Books and Gifts is a nonprofit indie bookstore; a community hub consisting of new and gently-used books and gift items.
The specific objectives and purposes of this nonprofit bookstore are:
To support The Sunflower Society Women’s Community Center through the sale of new and gently used donated books and unique gift items.
To offer support for emerging local authors.
To help make books and reading as inviting and accessible to as broad an audience as possible.
To offer a venue to serve as a community hub and a place for educational and community activities.

Why A Bookstore?
Diversifying our fundraising portfolio with multiple revenue streams is crucial to our organization’s sustainability. Like a financial advisor wouldn’t recommend investing your life savings into one unstable stock, our nonprofit organization can’t solely depend on grants and donations to keep us afloat.
Staffed by friendly, book loving volunteers whose customer service can’t be replicated online, our booksellers will make your shopping experience more personal and fun!
Shopping with us is a win-win. Not only will you find affordable gently-used hardback and paperback books in a variety of genres, you’ll also find unique gift items - fun things to give and get. (and a few vintage surprises!)
