Give your previous loved books new life by donating them to us! Whether they’re hardback, or paperback we will happily accept books in like-new condition for young adults, teens, and adults. (We don’t accept or sell children’s books, please consider donating them to My Brother’s Keeper or The Salvation Army)

Your donated books change the lives of chronically ill women living in our community. Book sales help fund The Sunflower Society Women’s Community Center, a place where women living with cancer, and other life-threatening and chronic diseases can find unconditional support, educational programs, health resources and services.

Book donations are accepted: Monday - Sunday 11:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. If you have books to donate, you can drop them off at our book cart located right near our front door.

General Guidelines For Donations

Rule of thumb - if you wouldn’t buy it or give it to a friend, think twice about donating it. Condition matters – if your items have any of the following issues, they usually won’t be sellable:

• Dirty

• Moldy

• Ripped / Torn

• Water damaged

• Damaged binding or pages

• Missing dust covers or pages

• Excessive writing, markings, or highlighting

In addition, we don’t accept Readers Digest Condensed Books, encyclopedias, magazines, workbooks and study guides, or textbooks or professional materials more than 5 years old.
